Post-Potter Depression

My true sentiments about Harry Potter ending.

Harry Potter has been my childhood. The first book came out the year after I was born. Of course, I wasn't reading it then, but it has played a huge influence on my life ever since I started watching the movies and reading the books. Immediately, I fell in love with the plot, the story, the characters, everything. In particular, I've alway loved Fred and George. So much that I cried inconsolably at the last book (I'm not going to say what happens for those who have not read it, but I think people who have read the book know what I'm talking about). I've also been able to relate and understand Hermoine to a great extent. But, I've also fell in love with Harry, Ron, Neville, Luna, Ginny, the rest of the Weasley family, Professor McGonagall, Snape, Dumbledore, and just about everyone else except for Umbridge. I've always loved the storyline and writing style of the books, and will forever idolize and admire J.K. Rowling for her imagination, creativity, and amazing writing style. She is my hero.

Friday evening, July 15th, at 7:10 PM, it was the beginning of the end. Never has a movie made me go through so many emotions. I laughed. I cried. I clapped. But I mostly felt so thrilled throughout the entire movie. Thrilled to the point of near adrenaline.

Yes, in truth, there will be no more big news about a new book or a new movie about Harry Potter.

But that does not mean that I think it's over.

Because I refuse to lose my childhood just because the last movie came out. I refuse to forget. I will still read the books over and over again. I will still watch the movies with chocolate ice cream. And I will still watch the AMAZING musicals written and acted by the geniuses at StarKid.

I solemnly swear to carry this series on for the rest of my life.
